This is a great song from John's 1974 album "Walls And Bridges". (this is a promo video by the way).
This song is based off of a dream John had, and in the dream, some 'spirits' were singing "Bowakwa Pousse Pousse" and calling out his name to John. The reason behind the '9' is that he had a great fascination with the number 9.
The woman singing the backing vocals is May Pang.
Enjoy!

I am 20 year old and people think I am different because I listen this kind of music but I like it so much. Especially John Lennon. He was the greatest singer..

The girls voice saying "John", in the song was NOT Yoko, but it was May Pang, his girl friend arranged by Yoko during their short breakup. Very interesting. Just found this out tonight from her interviews that are on YouTube.

Beautiful song but I would rather not watch him kissing Yoko... Y'all get a room!

Maggie, Hello. I met May in Oct. 2011 and spent two evenings with her, interviewing with Nancy Lee Andrews (who was Ringo Starr's girlfriend in the same period, though longer, 1974-1080). May came to Nashville promoting her photo book Instamatic Karma and drew an audience at the bookstore where I work. John kept a distant contact with May until the end. The bond with Yoko was old and strong--but also old and weary. Anything could have happened in the 80s. This vid was made after 1980.
