At WHAT point was the use of 50,000 volt electric shock weapons authorised for use on the British public to gain COMPLIANCE ?

Tasers are supposed to be used in situations which pose a significant threat of violence, very much focussed upon disarming armed criminals.

This video shows that the UK Police are utterly clear that they are electrocuting people to force COMPLIANCE !

This is WRONG.

I will NOT accept that our police force is authorised to treat us like CATTLE.

I will NOT accept that our Police force is authorised to use 50,000 volt electric shock torture, and it is torture, on our CHILDREN.

I authorise the Police to SERVE and PROTECT me from violence, NOT to torture me into SUBMISSION and COMPLIANCE.

  • thats why if you are innocent then by not resisting they have nothing to charge you with

  • If you are innocent you should not be arrested. Catch-22.

If I am innocent, and someone tries to arrest me, aka restrain and restrict my freedom, then I am going to resist.

In that scenario, they have nothing to charge me with in the first place.

I will charge them of false arrest.

  • @bighands69 The person who posted this video seems to think he should be tickled to the floor with pink fluffy dusters

  • This was featured on channel 4's Coppers on 6 Feb 2012. One of the involved officers explained that the man had been given ample opportunity to leave the area but didn't, and that one of the taserings was due to the man throwing punches during his arrest, and another because he had bitten the officer on the right and then grabbed his arm trying to bite his arm, which you can see at 0:27. That being the case the taser was used in response to violence / a valid threat.

  • @GtWhite77 at least 699 people have died i the USA as a result of being Tasered. The Taser is NOT non-lethal, it is a KILLER!

  • is actually a lesser use of force but much more effective with no after effects.

  • CS is designed to burn and irritate and will cause major discomfort for a long period of time. The ASP is designed to hurt and can break bones and even kill. The taser however, is designed to stop being effective after a matter of seconds. It will leave two very small dots where the pins enter the body. It will get control of a suspect and prevents use of CS and ASP. There is prior warning given before deployment but if the offender continues to act aggressively it will be used. The taser is a

  • The problem is that too many people with no training or experience in dealing with violent individuals who resist arrest have too much to say. UK police are trained to a high standard and receive training on a yearly basis to ensure they are up to date with current legislation and training when using equipment. Police have 3 weapons designed as use of force. All of which have to be justified, proportionate for the situation and necessary. CS spray, ASP and now taser. The thing to remember, is C

  • The heading of this video is wrong.

This is not a case of compliance.

The guy is being violent. How else are the police to carry out an arrest.

  • @GuoiGuva

Those who would rather be free men than slaves will resist anyone who falsely accuses them and then tries to take away their freedom.

  • If you are ultimately innocent, but at the time it was reasonable to suspect you of having committed a crime (subjected to the necessity test), then the arrest is still lawful. Innocence isn't the test of whether an officer has made a false arrest, but whether there were grounds to suspect you of a crime, and that the arrest was necessary according to certain criterea. I imagine being arrested when you havent done anything must be stressful but the police are not omnicient.
