Dear believes the key to spiritual life is not just finding inner peace, but also bringing peace to bear on the outside world. He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2008 by Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu.
"Promote the reign of God." Yeah - stand up publically against structural evil - war. This message should be what the public see of "Christianity," not Pat Robertson or Focus on the Family. Jesus had a chance to lead a militia, and he said "No." I wish more Christians followed his example.
