I'm one of the primary Rebirth developers, and I really have no idea what to say. You're essentially telling us to make ITG charts based on what you think makes a good DDR chart. Great comparison buddy. That's really insightful and tells us a lot on how we could improve ;)

@ButterCandyfly Wow, never actually expected a rebirth stepper to comment. Well, now that I have your attention, I'll go into more details. DDR doubles is really the biggest collection of playable good doubles charts I've seen, and ITG3 has a few golden ones in there. I'm not saying there has to be doublesteps and bland rhythms everywhere, but having 194 BPM crossovers runs across the pad is a bit much. If you guys need testers there are a few good doubles players in my area who would love to.

@Flamingice9876 I'll agree with you that DDR double is really fun, and there are a bunch of really fun charts in ITG3.

How many songs in Rebirth are above 194BPM? The only ones are Asian Crosscounter, Epileptic Crisis, ReaF, and Space War III, with Chromatic Blitz being 190. And none of these charts on Double Expert are rated lower than an 11, so their difficulty in movement is more justified.

Specific examples of patterns and songs of what you dislike are more helpful to us.

@ButterCandyfly It's hard to go into specifics without video examples. If you'd like, I wouldn't mind making some video examples of some REALLY bad stuff on rebirth doubles. Stars above doubles is possibly the worst chart I've ever seen. I understand there's not much to work with, but still, it could be a really fun 9 instead of strecthing across the pad every other beat.

Okay, you just happened to pick the most extreme stretch gimmick in the entire project. I happen to know someone who absolutely loves it, and he has quadded it. Sure it may not be the most type of popular chart, but at least it's there for the niche few that like it.

Try the Hard chart, it's probably the type of chart you're looking for. It's a 9 with some fun crossover movement.

I'm sure that most everyone can agree most of the DDR official doubles charts were good. I say most because 99% of the boss songs were ass. Make them like that, but of course add more steps to match the rhythms.

Hip Hop Jam DX sucks, but not as much as FELM or Eternus DX.

Doubles has so much variety possible that if they tried to appeal to everybody, everybody would hate all but one of the charts, and everybody would like a different chart.
