Juniper Networks teams up with Ixia, EPA, and Lawrence Berkeley National Labs in an effort to set an energy consumption rating (ECR) for the Networking Industry. As Atul Bhatnagar, CEO for Ixia, said during this event, "What you don't measure, you cannot improve." Watch the live demonstration on the T1600 from Juniper Networks, "World's most energy efficient core router."

The live demo is the first commercial implementation of the ECR specification. It showcases the ECR Class 1 T1600 Core Router with 64 10Gb ethernet ports connected to Ixia's XM12 chassis with the same amount of ports. This will drive full 640Gb of IP UDP traffic through the router.
