  • ... old school track with 100% profi sound. I would be proud of it. Did you record it track by track to sequencer and then remaster or direct to sound editor and then remaster?

  • Hi kostistlac,

In general I begin to work direcly on the Hardware. For creativity, I definitively prefer it. You can directly tweak the sound, finding the right adjustments... That's one of the reason I bought the monomachine, for the sequenceur. In general I just start with a standard rythm, and I join a bass, from the mono or the virus. Then I fix the tonality and join pad, and the melody... But Somtimes it 's different, I start with a pad, a melo... (See next post)

At this step, it's just creativity, finding an interesting loop ;-)

When I've the loop, I tune it. I improve the rythm, make some "tricks", I work on the effect, the stereo, always directly on the hardware.

Then, when I'm happy of the resulut, I use Ableton Live as master, with a good interface (RME) to clip everything in audio : The tracks on the mono (mono or Virus) and the parts of the Machinedrum. Somtimes, for Virus, I recreate the part in Midi clip, to keep... (next post)

the possiblity to add some automation, especialy on filter or effects.

Then I use the ableton interface to make some scene, it's very usefull for the arrarngement. I Try some arrangement.... And when it 's OK, I record every thing in the Linear view...After this, I make the final mastering, adding some compression, limiter, making the levels adjustements, and sometimes adding some new effects. At this times I add sometimes some samples from my audiolib, mostly voice. (next post)

    And that's up !

I restart to play music one year ago. Untill now I've finish the tracks you find here. I've 4 or 5 more, but they are not finish... I feel better with my home studio, and gradually I progess... For Noisella I needed around 80 hours, for this one 50 hours, so now I can take more time for pure creativity, I enjoy a lot. Music could be divaina ! It could send back to you, and to the people who listen, some satisfaction, it's a greart art ;-)

Monomachine is totaly different : It 's crushy sounds, very brutal with hudge dynamic. You have FM, Saw and Digital (spectral wave). The way it run is a bit baffling at the beginning, but definitively, it coud had very punchy sound to your tracks, totaly different from the Virus. My next synth will be a thru analog (obvious!), I'm searching for it...

    Bye

  • @punarnee

I mean how do you feal and not find ?

Find : In my fav shop in Paris !

Feal : Virus TI is probably the best Digital Synth actually ! It's partly analog modlisation, but you have many other think like Wavetable and FM, with a big matrix and effect possibilities... Very good for almost everythink, a must have.

  • @aphasia8

For sure, classic is often efficent !

Next track I prepare something less evident...

    Thanks for comments

  • classic sound is just that, classic...for a reason!! :D

make the music that makes you sing.

    peace
