Visiting a Carthusian monastery - part 4.

"Stat crux dum volvitur orbis".
I liked the Carthusian order since I was child, I visited personally many Charterhouses and Serra St. Bruno too.
St. Bruno wrote the Carthusian vocation is a mystery known only by who has experienced it, not everyone is called to such life but knowing it will help to rediscover the contemplative dimension inherent in every Christian existence
and to give more space in our daily.

the monastic life, a life of sacrifice is not a waste. only if many knew the good their prayers do for us all in this life and the next. if all the religious in the world ceased to live and answer the call so would we all. continuous prayer the church is surviving from falling and pressure from the secular world.
