What a great way to draw people into this book! This is a standout video introduction to the book, the important issues it covers, and the author's gentle but perceptive style. It really makes me look forward to reading it!
Great to see mention that this grueling job includes indigenous people (i.e. Mayans), who have their own fraught history relationship to Hispanic Latin America; many white Americans too; and even "wealthy" cities.
can't wait unitl it's out. as an organic farmer myslef, i feel that social justice is a top priority on our list for moving towards a more sustainable ag industry in the 21 st century. it's hard hard work and the bottom line is hard to come by for us the business owners, but in the end when we fairly compensate and treat our workers as family, it always ends up being more profitable.
good on ya for taking the time and energy to write this much needed book. thanks!
