Amii Stewart - Light my fire 1979
Original by The Doors (1967)
also sung by Jose Feliciano (1968) # 3 in US

You know that it would be untrue
You know that I would be a liar
If I was to say to you
Girl, we couldn't get much higher
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire

The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire, yeah

The time to hesitate is through
No time to wallow in the mire
Try now we can only lose
And our love become a funeral pyre
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire

(Instrumental)

Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Come on baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on fire

  • @BabyNotGoth Amen to that! Miss Amy Stewart had more talent in her little finger than Lady Googoo has in her whole talentless body!

  • she's infusing sexiness into the original song! great sexy disco track.......

  • In disco style look " Sheila b devotion " you light my fire.

  • Wow. Can't believe I missed this before. I love her cover of "Knock on Wood," but the dancing here is fantastic. Kids of today--this is how it's supposed to be done. I don't know if Amii had more talent or just worked harder, maybe both, but a lot of current pop artists could learn a thing or two just from this one performance.
