Mah-Jongg is a game of Chinese origin that is usually played by four people with 144 tiles that are drawn and discarded until one player secures a winning hand. • This video is mistitled "How To Play Mahjong" The video basically says to buy a mahjong board and read the rulebook.

  • This was the most unhelpful video I've seen. It was an "introduction" to Mahjong, yes, but I have no idea how to play the game. Instead, this was an ad for different sets of Mahjong you could buy. Now I have to go find another video to learn how to play "real" Mahjong, dang it.

  • Good intro now where is the rest so I can actually learn how to play this

  • What the fuck? That was not a good tutorial at all.

  • She's breathing so heavily. I feel like she's getting a workout just by reading the manual

  • expertvillage needs to get off youtube, they make the WORST instructional videos I've ever seen

  • The NMJL card has nothing to do with how the winds are changing as mentioned at 1:45 in the video. That idea is quite wrong.

In fact the NMJL league hands are continually updated in an attempt to keep the game fresh (as each year the permitted hands change). Though some cynical players refer to this as the 'mahjongg tax'

  • PS she has misspelt Mahjong (no 2 gg's - this is the American spelling for the rules by the National Mahjongg League (NMJL) who added a second g to differentiate the game from the original chinese game. The NMJL game specifies a set of special hands

  • WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has nothing to do with Bridge .... obviously this lady has never played Bridge in her life. This lady is probably thining of the card game Rummy (not Gin Rummy which allows you to draw any discarded card but Rummy the seven card hand game similar to Gin but limited to the last discard only).

In fact the closest thing to bridge using a form of tiles is Texas 42.
