  • That could be, but, not meant as an offend, NBE means Nederlands Blazers Ensemble, which, translated in English means Dutch Wind Section Ensemble, so I am even surprised that actually use a string instrument.

  • it was written originally for oboe, though accordionists play it as well.

  • Normally this movement is played with an accordian and it sounds almost like a love song of remembering good times, but instead when you use an oboe it sounds sorrowful as if in mourning. I only wish that they had played with several more string instruments in this concert.

    I'll take the oboe over the accordian any day when it comes to this song.
