every SINGLE TIME you set foot inside an institution; WHETHER it be a hospital or a pharmacy you have to verify who, what, when, where, how, who, why, what, etc, (meds,) you NAME IT...so don't tell Deborah Peel, or me that nobody knows a damn thing about YOU when you walk in somewhere. YOU are in a NATIONAL DATABASE, AND still you could end up dead! receiving (what someone) calls "the best care" out there, whether you stubbed your toe, or cut your arm off with a chainsaw that day! Some people really still live in 70's. Thats why the health care system having a hard time getting updated. Getting job or getting a promotion is not more important than getting your medical records on time. You don't need a promotion or worry about your job if you were brought to emergency room and no one knows what medications you are on or if you are on any medication? or if you have COPDs...

do you think they are private now? how long does it take for Dr. Deborah Peel to pull her own medical records if she was on the other coast of United states away from her office. I bet a few days :) You get into an accident and they cannot even contact your doctor to see what medications you are on.

Most sensitive information for people is already out there in doctors' offices. they are in files where anyone in doctor's office can see, read o copy. Any new assistant can look into them. What privacy we have right now ? what are people so worried about? what is the hide in medical records?
