Sorry, I look like crap in the first part of the video. I get a little emotional at one point so bear with me people.

Steve Cozza was one of the co-founders of Scouting For All and probably the most well known. Scouting is not a private organization as it claims. It uses government land as well as public school grounds paid for by every taxpayer in the United States. Gays, Lesbians, Atheists... everyone who pays taxes deserves access to this program. If you want to deny us membership stop taking our money!

  • Bob as a heterosexual and as an Eagle Scout I share my solidarity with you. No matter what you do in your personal life is not my business as long as you keep physically strong, metnally awake, morally straight and are trustworthy, loyal helpful friendly, courteous kind obedient cheerful thrifty brave clean and reverent

  • @bluesboy25000 Thanks man. It's always good to meet other Eagles. Scouting was a huge part of my life and some of the friends I made in the program continue to stand by my side to this day. I learned some great things that I hope to pass on to my nephews... and nieces when they get old enough to camp. :P

  • @aquabanianskakid Of course. I am in college now but I hope to do training to become a scoutmaster. Just because they did this to you does not diminish all of the wonderful things Scouting has done for you and for myself. It truly does build character for young men and I honestly wish more people would join Scouting.

  • @bluesboy25000 Go for it! I had a great time at my Scoutmaster training. I hope one day that Scouting becomes more accepting, I really would like to be able to take my nephew on camping trips and have him experience what I did as a kid but at this point that isn't possible. Southern Virginia tends to focus on sexuality more than quality of character. For that reason I've decided to make the move out west to Colorado for a fresh start. College is a great time to work for your local summer camp!

  • @aquabanianskakid As a Mexican American who lived in Texas myself I have to say I know that the South can be a very hateful place. California, where my family lives now is much more tolerant. It was also here in California where I became an Eagle. Scouting made me into the man I am today. It is great that you still have a love for nature. To this day I love camping and hiking. BSA is a great organization and hopefully it can move into the 21st century

  • Hey, I watched your video and just completely feel for you. I made Eagle Scout over 6 years ago and I'm gay. I never really came out to my troop, but was very open and open outside of scouting. All of my friends in scouting new and the leaders had an idea. It just wasn't discussed. I recently joined a "Gay Eagle Scouts" group on facebook. I've really been thinking back to scouting and how much of my life it made up. Wishing you the best. :-)

  • So...because I call you Juggies and Bars does that make me less of a friend or more? Anyhow, I'm glad that you put this vid up "Boob"...ops, I mean "Bob" (can you guess what's on my mind tonight?).

Pride month is not just about having pride in the "gay community" - whatever that is - but it means having pride in yourself, who you who you are and what you do in life.

I'm proud of you Jugs. Given name or not, I still KNOW who you are. You should be proud of your accomplishments.

  • This same thing happened to a friend of mine and he was affected by it even years later. It's a truely devestating and traumatizing thing for him. Any kind of discrimination is an ass kicker. When I was fired from AmeriCorps for being gay I thought it would kill me. But because of that I found my new friends and ACTION Northwest - something to really be proud of. Kudos to you for putting this up. I'm proud of you! *clap clap*
