This is the hymn that is sung at the end of the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. We as Catholics believe that Jesus Christ is present among us in the form of the bread. It has all the appearances of bread, but a change occurs during the consecration at Holy Mass called 'Transustantiation' meaning that the whole substance is changed, and is changed into the Body of Christ. Only the appearance remains the same. It is not a symbol. We believe that it is the true Body, Blood, Sould and Divinity of Jesus Christ.
@BrotherAlphonsusMary ....ah, I know that hymn....we sing it at mass....I didn't know it was Tantum Ergo....thanks.

@BrotherAlphonsusMary .... do you have the english translation.?......it's always sung in Latin here but not many churches have Benediction any more.

@MrSellaman It would be okay with me if you sang the english version...or is it normally sung in Latin where you are from?

@BrotherAlphonsusMary .........I'd like to hear me singing it too.......but it's too difficult being in Latin........I used to love hearing the priest sing it at Benediction.

@MrSellaman Hi MrSellaman, yep, that's me off to the side. The idea I had was to give primary importance to the Blessed Sacrament, but to still have me somewhere in the picture so that people could still see me and know it's a live recording. I'm glad you like it!
