Low-e (low emissivity) glazing has metallic components. Hence, it is possible to measure whether a glazing has low-e properties by using a device that measures the electric conductivity of the glazing. The device will light up (red bulb), if the glazing is low-e. This test from the ST Building (East orientation) shows that the first glazing does have low-e glazing whereas the second does not.
