Pie Jesu - A Duet With Myself

Me singing 'Pie Jesu' from Andrew Lloyd Webbers 'Requiem'. As I mention in the start of the video, I am NOT A SOPRANO. I also did not warm up for this video, this was just a complete spur of the moment video and therefore quite a rough run-through. My asthma was also fairly bad.

This video is also now a little bit dated and my voice has changed a lot since (still more comfortable within the alto range). Regardless, any constructive criticism or advice is welcomed. Any rude comments will simply be deleted and you will be blocked.

AND FOR GOODNESS SAKE LEAVE MY POOR HAIR ALONE! I know it looks like a mane here, haha!

Hey there!

I sing for fun (you've no idea how much I adore music and singing), but I also take lessons and have exams. I recently took my grade 6 singing and came out with a high distinction (WOO!). Also got accepted into Chetham's School of Music, which I'm psyched about. It'll be fantastic going there for sixth form!

wat u have 2 realize is sometimes the thing that makes u an alto is the fact that u r top heavy. sometimes it is b/c u cant get on top of ur notes n might fall flat but like me im both. i was put on II soprano because i am top heavy, but i have sang everything b/w that and II alto 4 the simple reason that i am top heavy and i can be very bottom heavy, if that makes since.

Yeah! It's really hard not to scrape up to the notes; I have got the whole 'get the note from above' thing sorted now =) The thing that makes me an alto is because I'm far more comfortable singing lower, and I can sing an octave and 5 below a middle C (I kid you not!)

ITS BRILLIANT! my mum is a soprano who sung this at mu nans funeral and my auntie is an alto and they sang a duet! yer it was brilliant! x
