Michael Tierney of Ennis

This is a brief and rare video clip of the late Michael Tierney taken in 1989 in the town of Ennis, Co.Clare in Ireland. He was one of the town's funniest and greatest characters.He was honest,loving, kind and totally true to himself and everyone around him. He was much loved when he was alive and deilivering his newspapers and he is still loved and fondly remembered today. He was one of a kind and one of the last true personalities of his generation.

Good to see some of the Old characters of Ennis on You tube. I see Epicine which was in the lower market behind Michael. He also hands a newspaper to Áine fennal who had a shop where the Irish shop is now. Also interesting to see Shannons wool shop and the emerald service/sweater shop also the small post office in O'Connell street where he goes in to.
