@rathjohn Wish I could but it isn't possible for my job.

@ghostdein1 The best way save gas on my commute is to telecommute! You should try it, too!

On my daily commute I never go over 50mph either. However, since some of my travel is often over 700 miles, my time is more valuable than my money, I'll save it whenever I can. When I wqnt to save gas, I'll drive the Corolla that still gets 38mpg even at 75mph. And oh yeah, I am very patient.

I drive 50mph on my commute every day. I am the slowest guy on the highway, but I'm patient, and in the end I save a lot of gas, while losing only a couple minutes of my time. You should try to do this all the time...

Heh, the best song to go with this would be "Asleep" but the Smiths. Funny with the mom in the minivan. Thanks for posting.

i try to at least stay with flow of traffic but when im alone ill drive the speed limit. most of the freeways around town where i live are anywhere from 55mph to 70mph.

@bradmann85 around here traffic is so bad you hardly ever see 55. Later at night it is much better. I try to drive as fast as I can without getting caught. In the case of driving on local Interstates, I'd say about 55-75 is normal.

@vbdenny during traffic hour its the same here. not enough room to run. people also dont give any room. i admit that i have taken my truck to its max at 95mph in an 88 ford bronco. the truck has got a speed limit when it hits 95 it cuts power off to the engine. knowing my luck if i had a fast car i would be getting tickets left and right

@bradmann85 My truck will do about 100 flat out (with A/C off) maybe a few more but I've never had it over 95. My car will do 150 but I've only had it to 130. I avoid tickets but I did get a photo red light ticket in Delaware to the tune of $112.50.
