  • @Heartxux3 Thank you. Those kids are all teenagers now. Love them.

  • What a lovely family visit in Fontainebleau, with kids running all around... so cute! I enjoyed watching your video. Thanks

  • @TheAmericanEvita Oh I so wanted to go there and pound down a few cocktails but we had the kids and we had to abstain till we got back to Pithiviers.

  • At 7:13, your last shot, I ate at that little restaurant. It was probably more of a cafe. They had desserts, coffee, soda. I was the only one in there. It seems to me Fontainebleau isn't well known by most travelers and you never see the huge crowds you see at Versailles. It's so lovely and more people should come see this....I went in winter (February) so maybe I'm wrong and it gets crowded in summer.

  • @TheAmericanEvita We were going to visit Versailles while we were in France in '94 but we had to cancel at the last moment. Fontainebleau is a very manageable Chateau to visit. You can pretty much cover the grounds in one day. The peacocks by the Diana Fountain are probably what I remember most from this one visit.

  • I was here at Fontainebleau last February. It's so charming and beautiful. I visited Versailles before coming to Fontainebleau so I found it much smaller in scale than the huge Versailles. Fontainebleau has more history and is more like a Renaissance Loire Valley chateau. I enjoyed seeing your video as it brought great memories of my trip this year. I also love the surrounding Forest and town.
