@Starkardur well, her mother was indeed Jewish. Judy Garland. Liza's dad was Italian. :)

well both movies were great I love Diana but Liza was perfect as Sally Bowles and she won the award on her own merit.

Cicely Tyson was relieved that she did not lose the award to Diana Ross.

I feel like Liza won this award after her mother lost it in A Star is Born...In Fact, I often feel like Liza's career has always been doing the things that her mother never got to do and livin life in the place over the rainbow that her mother never got to see
