Lovely song, evocative of two eras late victorian and the sixties. This music also sounds very English. Fairfield Parlour and Kaleidoscope deserve to be household names.

It's basically making fun of the then-recent cliche of overly precious, pale-and-tragic psychedelic tunes about women called Emily etc.

Thanks so much for posting this - my mother used to play the whole album constantly when I was a small child (I'm now 42) - I haven't heard it since then and this was my favourate song!
