  • A truly exceptional example. I have had several and none had the selectivity

    of your unit. Congrats!

  • @luzzie9 Unfortunately, I no longer own this example. It is in the hands of a collector in the far east. I had an earlier unit (not as pretty) that had even better selectivity!

Right now I am restoring a very late example (in the 5000 range serial number) and I am hoping it will perform as good as the other two. Fingers crossed!

  • Ohhh but I love my ARC 6B and D90 too much to sell ! I think they are overall the best sounding audio components i've ever heard and i've heard alot. I used to work for a High-End stereo store in Pittsburgh.

  • Unfortunately, could not keep both systems. Depreciation on the ARC is higher than on the Marantz, and sadly I hardly have time to listen to a single system!

I agree ARC is top notch. Audio Research is what Marantz would have become if not bought by the Tushinskys, IMO.

  • wow all of Marantz best tube stuff.

    the 10B, 7c and 8B amp.

    I only have the 10B.

  • Thanks!

I actually started with the 10B, and ended up selling my ARC gear to complete the classic Marantz tube system!

  • Crooner.... very very nice...... Can you do one a classical station for 2 or.3 minutes... piece af J.Bach with cello would be great

Am dreaming if ever having a 10B but....

  • The 7C is amazingly smooth and clean and detailed for its age but the bit of brightness on the topend precluded it as a replacement for my SP6 and I just love the SP6 look. I don't think I've ever heard an *B amp. Love to come over and listen if you were near me.
