Young Israelis are flocking to Berlin in droves. Once the epicentre of the Holocaust regime, the city is becoming increasingly associated with freedom and tolerance for thousands of young Jews.

"Yes, we have heard of the Holocaust...but it belongs to the past." Aviv Netter, a DJ from Tel Aviv, left Israel to come and launch a Jewish party scene in Berlin. Flaunting the Star of David throughout his club, the iconography of Judaism is being redefined at Aviv's parties. "Sure, there is a lot to talk about in history...but its time to talk about the future."

@ErikandAndreea that is incorrect. u seem to forget that being jewish is not just a religion. u can find atheists and agnostics who still identify as jewish. its a nationality as well in some ways. these were not one group of people moving. they were TRIBES. since when have tribes all been the same? to be jewish is not necessarily to PRACTICE judaism. =)

What about jews with blond hair and blue eyes? Aren't they "white" too? Funny my friend is often assumed to be from a Nordic country when in fact he was born in Israel. Jews today are European converts to Judism, any jew can trace when their family converted. Americans seem to stupid to seperate religion and race. Jew is a religion, which is why you can have black jews as well (Sammy Davis jr.)

@benkku10 There's a lot of psychological projection involved. If you would take a look at all countries, conflicts and wars over the world you would easily find that there are dozens of countries that are involved in far greater crimes and victims of far far higher numbers. Yet nobody would care or even recognise. E.g. ironically Turkey that has three times as many Kurdish victims than Israel "Palestinian" victims during the same time.
