Comhaltas Live #283-2 Ciaran FitzGerald on Flute

Ciaran FitzGerald plays two reels on the concert flute - Bonnie Kate & Kiss the Maid Behind the Barrel - both learned from Louise Mulcahy. Ciaran is an All Champion on the flute, in Singing (Sean-nos and English and in spoken Irish (Comhra Gaeilge). He came 2nd on the Concertina at the All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Tullamore. He composes his own tunes and plays one of his compositions with his family ,'The FitzGerald family in another comhaltas video.

I always noticed when a flute was wooden, cuz it gave it a much more natural sound, like the earth, than a metal flute (when I play mine, it sounds like someone forced it to make sound)

First of all What a TALENTED kid!! Second of all, I WANT his flute! Being the flute nerd that I am I recognize what it is and am JEALOUS he gets to play on it :-O I only have my modern one lol.
