A musical trip up the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad taken in 2008.

This is a must-do trip if you're in Southwest Colorado, and do it in Silver Vista class if you have the chance! Thanks to the wonderful train crew of the D&SNGRR, C.W. McCall (Bill Fries and Chip Davis) for the music and inspiration and Mother Nature for the unforgettable scenery.

  • That was a dream trip for me. I've been a fan of Billy Fries songs since I was a teenager and my trip up to Ouray, Silverton and Durango, reliving many of his ballads, was truly soul-satisfying. My drive down the Black Bear Road was even more enjoyable, but I never did an edit for that one.

  • Great song and great ride up to Silverton Colorado from Durango Colorado. I love these old steam engines. I will have to get back there again soon and ride the train again. C. W. Mc Call what a great voice he has. Thank you for the video I enjoyed it.

  • That was great! I went on a steam train in Estes Park Co, years ago, and once they had that locomotive (Silverton) at Knotts Berry Farm

  • That was incredible. Great editing & wonderful pictures! Thanks so much for sharing!
