Kaleb Nation's homeschooling mother forced him to write one page per week when he was 9 years old, which lead to him starting a book at the ripe, old age of 14. After many years of writing, revising, and hard work, he got it published in 2009 at the age of 20. That book is called Bran Hambric: The Farfield Curse, which can be bought at places like Barnes & Noble and on Amazon.com.
This was probably the funniest way he told the story that I've seen so far. Oddly enough, he didn't even tell it at my book signing, probably 'cause it started so late. (He only had literally an hour and 15 minutes to talk and sign) Too funny about writing too big and stuff.
I feel like a mean mom for totally wanting to do this to my daughter now.. but hey, if I do, maybe she'll end up like Kaleb.. and if not, she'll have a healthy means of expressing herself. :)
k, talking too much.
