You could make a pretty good case for Berkman over Pujols in the 2008 NL MVP race. Win shares: Batting: Berkman: 35.0 Pujols: 33.0 Fielding: Berkman: 2.6 Pujols: 2.1 Total: Berkman: 38 Pujols: 35 I don't have a problem with Pujols winning it though.
