  • @zebb1111 ...he has not been getting all THAT MUCH attention, you don't want to get carried away here, maybe...six concertos?, TWENTY sonatas?...maybe one wants to show a little temperamence in the enthusiasm...but what I have heard is generally pretty nice, even this piece here under Hamelin's hands, not all that bad...

  • @fredericfranc listen to his concerto. i think its the jazz isiom that offends thee. look at his counterpoint in his string quartets. seriously, i think your prejudice against the idiom. Kapustin is an excellent composer deserving of all the attention he has been getting.

  • @zebb1111 ...comparing Kapustin to Bartok and Prokofiev is wretched excess, but Mr. Hamelin is getting a pretty good review from me here, perhaps I was overimpressed by my "bitch", but she did speak good swedish, perhaps they should have kept her off the video, she "steals the show", somewhat...

  • @zebb1111 speaking of music composed within a tonal context of course.

  • @fredericfranc JUNKY COMPOSITION? have you analysed the score? only prokofiev and bartok compare in complexity and musicality.

  • ...wonderful posing for the photos, but that place, Stockholm, is it?, whereever that is, must be fucking cold...the man can throw some elecriticity into a junky composition by Kapustin...and that bitch spoke great Swedish, great intonation...damn near musically, so to say, eclipsed Mr. Hamelin...not that easy to do...

  • Hamelin is literally the Roger Federer of piano! Simply unbelievable at both classical and virtuoso jazz and such a cool guy with it. Always love the way he dresses too, so smart yet so refined; rather like his playing! Bravo

  • @TheExarion not really he was great but i feel he bent the composition for his own self aggrandisement at times

  • my favorite Kapustin interpreter! Love 'em both!

  • @MarcheseCadmio88 Cziffra was the best when it came to piano.
