My hermit crab was moving easily and didn't smell is he dead or alive he also lost 2 legs and wasn't responding

@crazygirl2743 If the crab seems really pale, he may be molting. Try the sniff test and if he doesn't smell, put him back and leave him alone. If he really is molting, he'll finish up, eat his own exoskeleton (it's weird, i know) and harden up again, leaving him brighter and possibly more active. Both of my hermies ran around a lot more after molting. Hope this helps!

What if you have a crab that isn't moving or smelly buy isn't in it's shell?? I flushed mine this morning and now I feel absolutely awful! And my other one might have been alive too! CRAP

My bros crab hasn't come out for a few days and I can move his legs around easilly I haven't smelled him cuz I'm afraid lol idk why but he doesn't seem to be shriveled or anything and he's still in his shell btw
