Hey guys i decided to make a tutorial on how to get great quality for youtube or pretty much anything. Now I must warn you long videos can reach up into 6 gigs even higher depending on the length of your video. So to remedy this you convert the file with this Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXTBUQlU1rs
That would be a link on how to get Xilisoft Video converter ultimate. It will convert your vids to HD on a higher level of quality than youll get out of Sony Vegas with the same settings and it will shrink the file size drastically 6 gigs - to 112MB for this video alone.
I used Maplestory as an example cause its really the only computer game i play, this can be done with any and all games you can record with fraps.
Keep the fram rate at 29.97 a higher frame rate will result in a laggier video and higher amounts of memory used. its better to stick with the default 29.97 frame rate.
You can record sounds if you want just check the box to do it. You can search the web on how to get sony vegas, i dont recommend WMM (windows movie maker) cause it lacks versatility and the option to render in uncompressed avi as far as i know and its just better to go with Sony vegas. if you cant get it than perhaps at a later date i will make a tutorial for that. I have yet to see the highest quality i can obtain.
Facts: Uncompressed AVI is a high memory usage file type but it yields the highest quality i have seen for videos
In this process you will use alot of memory
You can change that by deleting source files after you have finished and uploaded the video
This will not mean that the memory you lose is permanent just alot is used to store files... it comes back after you delete the files.
If you dont know that by now you should probably give up on making videos until you are capable of understanding.
**** I hope you guys enjoyed and please post video responses if you used this tutorial ****

When I record with fraps, my videos are never longer then 2 min.
after 2 min of recording it just makes a second file and so on.
When I convert it into 1 file (I use avi) sony vegas can't open it anymore.
Any solutions?

@LordJeremy18 More than likely you should just combine clips in vegas and not convert it into 1 file until you are rendering out a finished product and doing your post rendering with xilisoft. Otherwise it sounds like the file isnt converting right
