What a shame Karpenko's routine didn't go well, she's such a beautiful gymnast. And martycubfan--totally agree, they should've reheld the meet. I can't get worked up about Raducan (although I think she was treated badly) because I don't consider any of the results valid. Khorkina gets much more sympathy from me.

Alot of gymnasts got hosed by the vault. By all rights they should have reheld the competition, but there just wasn't time. Too bad.

neither the official gold and silver medalists feel like they are theirs. For us Andreea Raducan is and will always be the all around gold medalist

Notice how the Aussie commentators sort of finesse into the news about the vault, whereas over at NBC they treated it like the Rodney King verdicts.

I think that Liu Xuan has done a very beautiful All Around but the podium was right with the golden Raducan :(

Officially yes, however no one (not even herself) feels that she is the true bronze medalist.
