We're going to talk about brushes today, and I'm going to tell you about the Dragon's Tongue. A unique brush, one that Cheap Joe's designed, and it's one that's just a great watercolor brush.

This Magic Dragon watercolor brush is probably inappropriately named because a dragon certainly doesn't have hair. It should be the Magic I don't know what brush, but it's 100% sable. It's the finest sable you can buy, called Cashmere Kolinsky sable which is just the best there is. If you look at sable under a microscope you would see that each hair has little limbs coming off of it, kind of like a tree. Those hairs come together kinda like this to hold that moisture and color from the watercolor in there.

They hold a great point, and they are the favorite brush of professional artists everywhere. They are very expensive, these are not inexpensive brushes. The Magic Dragon and the Legend, all of those brushes that are made from real quality sable are not inexpensive brushes but they are worth it because they do carry color for twice as long as nylon does. They are a joy to paint with, so sensual, and a lot of fun. I love them and I think you will, too.
