This is a look back in time when the Wildwood Boardwalk was actually cool. I was there. Well, between 1980 and 1983. Hunt's Pier was one of my favorites. Some of those haunted rides scared me just from the outside. I was between 6-9 years old then. I wish someone, somewhere had video RIDING the Whacky Shack because for some reason, I failed to ride it and I wish I did. It was closed 1995 removed early 1996 during the remodeling into Dinosaur Beach. I went back Aug 95, June 96, 98, July 5-9, 2011

@MusicGirlRWS The Golden Nugget track and cars were bought by Knobels Amusements in Pennsylvania. They are building a "Coal Mine" themed attraction with the old Golden Nugget track and cars...

Some of my favorites: The Flyer, Great White, Keystone Kops, Dante's Inferno, Raiders, Dracula's Castle + boat ride. And there was an awesome arcade there. I used to play the Pokerroll machines in the back. There was this realllly long stuffed snake on the ceiling I was saving up for, but never ended up getting enough.

So much great nostalgia from this vid. I used to spend half my summers along the Jersey seaboard at a place called Seagrove Camping Resort. They were the best days of my life. Thank you so much for posting this.  Things like this are what make Youtube so great.
