History was made in Washington DC on March 29, 1979 when, in the presence of the US president Jimmy Carter, president Anwar Sadat of Egypt and prime minister Menachem Begin of Israel signed a peace treaty - the first ever between an Arab country and the state of Israel. Agreeing to peace proved a long and difficult process. A process that at times broke down over some of the region's most sensitive issues, which remain unresolved to this day.

If, the Baptist&the Catholic can live in peace; if the aethist&the believer can live in peace, side by side. If the Sunni&Shia can live in peace, if the Ashkenazi&the Sephardim can live in peace in one state. Then, why can't the Muslim; the CHristian, And the Jew, w/all their factions&sects, not be able to live in peace in one region? It isn't a matter of land nor tradition. Brothers can find a reason to fight. With empathy&compassion&fairness; we can all live in peace.

I believe that this Jeszzira channel always bring Egyptians who are opposing th epeace treaty,however ,Egyptians who are educated and appeciates the Egyptian identity are always supporting the peace treaty.

Sadat position was very critical he had to make peace with Israel or people of Egypt will starving if the Arab leaders would have helped  him with more supplies and subsidy there would never be Israel till now ... Sadat is a hero to endure all of this
