@crabtrap OK then, last word: The mountain dulcimer is an extraordinary instrument -- very simple, yet plaintive, expressive & genuine. It is an ideal instrument for children's education & therapy, and cardboard is the ideal tonewood material for classroom use. Not only are the acoustic properties surprisingly good, cardboard is safe & easy for young hands to work with. Assembling & painting dulcimers brings pride of accomplishment. Dropped instruments are no problem. Bravo kindermusic!
@milnoid that's about 45 seconds longer then i'd spend on you. but go ahead get your last word in my insecure little friend, then .......PUFFF be gone.
@crabtrap "Flattered" that I took 45 seconds to peruse your Youtube channel (where I found no indication that you play any instruments at all)? You really must have pretty low self-esteem. Not your fault though --- the CIA surely must have implanted a chip into your brain to limit your intelligence and cripple your social skills.
@milnoid well i'm flattered that you felt me so important that you needed to research my profile.i can't say i bothered with yours.i assume it's all gummy bears and beiber interviews.i wish you luck with your cardboard fetish, maybe you can master the waffle box ukulele next!
@crabtrap Yep, "charlatan" describes you perfectly. That won't change no matter how many Google results you copy and paste. Distinguishing between the learned and the losers is really quite easy: the latter are afflicted with the arrogance of the ignorant, lacking the wisdom to recognise when the humble approach is the most appropriate. Using cardboard instruments with troubled children is just such a case. Alas for you, Narcissistic personality disorder is rarely recognised in childhood.
@milnoid "charatan"? sorry pal,i'm not the one selling snake oil to public school children. As for acoustic principles/materials.... which material would you care to discuss? Cedar?Pine?Spruce?Mahogany?Laminates? or steel resonators? As to my musical ability...if your big claim to music is mastering the dulcimer then perhaps it's time for you to expand your horizons.the dulcimer is one step up from kazoo in regards to player input complexity (hammered dulcimer excluded).
@crabtrap In "my world", charlatans such as yourself are exposed for what they are. Hiding behind your anonymity to launch substance-less attacks on these instruments and the professionals who use them indeed demonstrates an utter lack of class. If you really believed you were justified in trashing these products and those who use them, you would not hesitate to share verifiable expertise. It's more likely you're just an arrogant troll, with zero skills in acoustic materials or music education.
@milnoid Yes I play the ducimer also. I'm not attacking the business that made the item, only the consumer silly enough to buy it. I guess in your world justifing poor quality/materials and then hiding behind patriotism is considered "class".

@crabtrap Yes, chasing off the trolls is a basic function I'm glad to perform. Time to go wallow in your conspiracy theories -- run along now, son.
