My 1946 Wolseley WDII gets mobile. Here she is sitting pretty and running happily on her new trolley.

  • wow thats lovely!!!!... did u make it yourself???

    David

  • @MrSiner09 Hi David, thanks! Yes I knocked the trolley up using a pair of handles from a scrap lawnmower, some offcuts from the local steel stockist and a pair of el cheapo wheels from Atlas Handling. Actually the wheels are really quite good and I'll almost certainly be using more in the future.

  • Those wheel barrow handles look suspiciously like the ones on an ATCO Petrol lawn mower to me... ha ha.

That really is a lovely looking engine, sounds and runs great, the trolly looks nice. Fabulous!

Give me a shout if you ever feel the urge to part with it, can soon direct the Sprinter over your way, in fact Im passing by on Monday, going to Bishops Stortford. LOL

    Great stuff Nigel as always.

    Paul :-)

  • @Bevoin1970 Thanks Paul and well spotted RE the handles. I salvaged them from an old ATCO lightweight a few years ago - I knew they'd come in handy one day.

I am once again at saturation point with the engines so if I get tempted by something exotic, I'll no doubt have to let a few of the old favorites go. If/when that should happen, I'll be sure to let you know :-)

  • @enpeemac Thats the diplomatic way of saying get stuffed, Im not selling...LOL - Ok Nigel as you may well remember I always carry a small amount of "birthday money", which inevitably ends up burning a hole in my pocket, to be used in emergencies only, so if you do feel the need to "shift something" give me a Buzz...

That Wolseley would sit nicely in the shed next to the Lister, Petter family. :-) ha ha

  • @enpeemac yeah i bet those wheels are a lot cheaper than than the old cast iron ones!!!!

  • Very nice trolley, love this WD2. nice and original. Well done!

  • nice job, & she runs like a dream.
