Testing out hte AT2020 Mic hooked up via USB to the MacBook Pro. Camera is a Canon GL/2 hooked up to the Mac via Firewire and Fireware card. Recorded @ uStream.Tv http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/1391916
@Jamba802 get the driver asio4all (google it like that) and configure it with the less sample rate possible (less latency), i've manage myself to get 4ms latency which is pretty low unaudible for the human ear and do voice processing for live practices. or just use the monitor output on your mic (theres usually one, if not then you better buy something better)
Hello! I just bought and set up my AT2020, but I have a question! When I talk into the mic, it echos and when I talk real fast into it, the output that comes back is slow when I hear myself, how do I fix these problems? Thanks much.
I have the M-Audio Producer that came with the Avid Vocal Studio package (Pro Tools SE). Though the quality is NICE You CANNOT use two+ USB mics on one machine. No USB INPUT mixer exists that I can find. Keep this in mind if you expect to have a group of people sitting around one laptop each with their own mics and all being recorded at once. Isnt gonna happen with a USB mic though I would LOVE for someone to prove me wrong, lol :)
i recently upgrades to a macbook pro and it only has a firewire 800, i got an 800 cable to connect to my gl2 but it dosent recognize the device. do i need some kind of driver for it to work
How come this video of yours has some background hiss form the mic, but not the other videos where you used the same mic? Does it have to do anything with the computer? First I recorded a sample using my MacBook Pro 15 in-built mic at 50% recording volume with no ambient noise canceling, and then AT2020 USB at 50% volume. There was not a lot of difference in the sound quality, and the background hiss/white noise was exactly the same. I thought AT2020 is not supposed to have any background hiss.
usb condenser mic?? wow.. so does it require phantom power ? need to plug it through a mixer or audio interface? Or just plug it straight to a pc since it is a usb condenser mic without the need of phantom power? if that is so then thats awesome!!
@TechnologicHelp the fuzz noise is just the fan on his computer, he just needs to record further away from it if he doesn't want that to be picked up.
