Now sure what this sound is. You can hear it close to the beginning of my video and close to the end. It is a clunking sound. I know it is not the steering knuckle. This was happening while I was driving straight. The sound was really pronounced around 25MPH when i let off of the gas... I didn't have a chance to edit it yet and cut out the useless video. I think that it is a CV joint, but I wanted to get a 2nd opinion... Truck has 126K miles on it... if you want to get to the more pronounced sound, skip ahead to the 2:45 mark...

  • i love the internet. It makes sense now. When i accelerate or brake the cv joint gets pressure and doesnt rattle. When coasting or cornering it shakes more. This explains my noise

  • CV Joint! Seems the sound decreases when you let off the gas. That causes a bad CV joint to vibrate if it's loose.

  • CV Joint ad wheel bearing, wheel bearing is very hollow noise when driving and cv joints clicking noise when turning

  • its the transmission you need a new one

  • Ummmmmmm.......Your Retarded. That's the Problem.

  • so its pronounced when braking, coasting?

  • CV joint

  • c v joint

  • @marl745 mine's doing the same, esp when turning left - what was wrong with yours?

  • @marl745 it it changes pitch and volume depending on whether you're turning, you probably toasted a wheel bearing
