Case review at: Http://www.compumagic.com/shop/apple.html
Update: I just installed 4.1 beta on my phone and now the bars work differently - where I used to get 5 and 4 bars I now get 4 and 3, etc. Also they made the smaller bars taller - supposedly so you can see it easier and not complain that you have "no bars!"... yeah right... This update to the bar algorithm will cause even more uproar I predict. I do not think they did anything in terms of antennuation adjustments via software which I believe they can do.
Consumer Reports weighs in on Apple iPhone 4 and says NO:

In this video I demonstrate the iFrogz LuxeLean case (available at Best Buy or AT&T stores)..

Fast forward to 3:00 minutes to see it go down to 1 bar... I love the case but it only partially solved the antenna grounding issue... But touching my left thumb on the volume controls I brougt the bars from 5 down to 1 at one point... It was a bit flakely as you can see so it's a long video.
A definate loss in bars is seen by touching the volume button area and yet I do not think my palm went through the side holes (gills) of this iFrogz luxelean case down where the two antennas meet.
I attribute some of the bar loss to simply blocking the signal on the side of the phone with my hand which is natural... However I think that's a bad place to have the antenna Apple because hands will naturally block it more since we tend to hold the phone on the sides. I really see this antenna as a poor design - cool but not practical. Wi-Fi signal is good though and I have heard it gets better by holding the edges of the phone. It would have been better I think to have used the antenna design from the 3Gs as proved by so many videos about the iPhone 4 antenna issues.
You will see if you can stand to watch all the video that if I grip the phone without touching the volume control area, yet perform the palm grip down on bottom left side the bars only go down to 3, which is acceptable and I think due to blockage not grounding out the two antennas because the case prevents that - thus the case is partially preventing the full problem from occurring.
I plan to add a clear skin to this phone to protect front back and sides but it has not arrived yet.

@StephenMicheal93 It is a software icon showing that I locked the auto-rotation/orientation so it would not go into landscape mode.
