My dad was BLESSED to be with Sunoco and allowed to work in the pits in his "spare time" for Roger Penske on the Mark Donahue team when time permitted. This was an exciting time in my childhood. Dad was not on this video, but the Pride he had for the Penske Team, Sunoco and Mark Donahue is still alive in my heart. I remember sitting in a trailer on the floor for a few hours during a really bad thunderstorm with Mark Donahue-he was very kind to me, one of his biggest fans.

That has to be some of the worst lyrics I've ever heard. Not to take away from the the awesomeness of the AMC Javelin Trans Am racing legend though... : P

I own a 73 AMX w/ 304. Also own a 93 camaro z28. Mark Donahue was the influance on me buying the two cars. Love the footage.

He told that Mark Donohue was also known as "Captain Nice"
He was a great guy.

thx so much.... When i was a kid, Mark Donohue was a hero of mine...... i loved how the javelin beat the other pony cars.... Go American Motors Racing Team...... i was devastated when Mark died..... once again, this means a lot to me..... Thx, man!
