New Arts Collective, colored shirt flash mob

New Arts Collective is an organization of artists in San Luis Obispo who collaborated during the summer of 2009 to produce performance art and art installations in public places. The group was founded by New Times' Arts Editor Ashley Schwellenbach, who wrote about the artistic experiment in New Times' Sept. 24 Autumn Arts issue (www.newtimesslo.com). This particular flash mob took place at a Farmer's Market in SLO. Participants wore either a red or yellow shirt over an orange shirt. Red shirts gathered on one side of the street and yellow shirts gathered on the other and as they crossed paths, everyone removed their top shirt.
