  • Why is the video sideways?

  • Good question. Irritating, I'd say. My daughter was filming me and I guess, being a non-mk'er, she didn't realize how frustrating it would be. sorry...

  • Here are some suggestions:

    1. Because the weight bar is so heavy, I usually start with waste yarn (you don't care if that gets split or ruined) and then ewrap right on top of it. The weight will be out of the way.

    2. Ewrap without the weight: do your first row of ewrap as normal, then push the stitches back with your fingers and the needles all the way out to E position. Do a few at a time all the way across. Knit the row. Repeat bringing the N out for abt 4 X, then hang some weights.

  • You are right, you don't have to start with waste yarn. I usually do, especially with the KX 350 because the cast on comb is so fierce, it bites into the main fabric. So you don't care if the waste yarn is distorted. Also, it is easier to knit off the first few rows if there is even weight across the piece.

  • I renewed my interest in knitting after reading loomknittingnow (.) com

  • Hello,

I have the same machine and I am having terrible trouble with the first row. I get the e-wrap, but taking the carriage across for the first time gives me awful trouble. I feel like I am going to break the machine. Is it because I have the bar weight attached to the e-wrapped stitches?

    Pleas help! Thank you

  • Hi i was wondering if there is already a nice edge finish with doing an e wrap, why do you do waste yarn first? thanks vicki in australia
