That golden brown lechon sprawled out across your holiday spread isn't exactly "least objectionable dining". It's a fact of Filipino culture we must deal with head on- literally! Nowadays, Filipino food has become more of a dare to eat rather than something to be savored. To remedy this, Filipino culinarians have ventured to the fusion forefront to create American-friendly Filipino cuisine. Is this a wise move? Or are we loosing our culture along with our appetites?

Renowned chefs from traditional and fusion Filipino restaurants alike, stick a fork in the debate.

Filipino foods are so disappointing. It seem like pork is the only meat they eat. I was at a Filipino party and pork was the only foods, on top of that she didnt even bring enough.

@igorbolsheviks88 that's why people are fighting against this kind of mistreatment. It IS a mistreatment. and you're saying that racism isn't a bad thing? lol and I know, just like other crimes, you can't rid all of it.

but atleast the world is aware. We're all from different races and places after all. I'm not dreaming. This is reality. We are at the age of reason. People will speak out for their rights. Or if not, others will do it for them. Coz no one should tolerate such mistreatment.

@AfterClassTrip you can keep dreaming about a free-racism world but it will just always be a dream because as long as the nature of human being is not altered there will be racism among people of different ethnicity, there is a difference between what people ought to do and what they do, and between dreams and reality.

@igorbolsheviks88 racism is a bad thing coz it causes discrimination and degrading on part of a race or ethnicity that is being discriminated. and yes, there is free thought, but that doesn't mean one should be scrutinized or be mistreated just because of ethnicity or race. If you really are a freethinker, then that idea should've entered your mind. simple as that.

@khaeti it's because philippinese eateries are generally nasty, they smell aweful and they have cockroaches crawling around. their restrooms are not even clean and they never turn their ac unit on. and philippinese don't have table etiquette, they chew their food with their mouth open and they used spoon instead of fork, they also bring their mouth to the food instead of bringing the food to their mouth. they are loud and they talk even their mouth is full.

@AfterClassTrip it's old and so as human nature, some people can talk about ideas like free-racism world but those ideas don't exist in reality. racism has always been a part of human nature and will always be that way. god himself favored certain group of people, "the chosen people of god", so how racism can be a bad thing?

@igorbolsheviks88 racism is old news. anyone who is still a racist is the one ignorant and naive. Because the whole world agreed to make laws against these kinds of mistreatment. The whole world has moved on. It's 2011. racists get laughed at. they simply are too narrow minded and a block head.
