Why is a historically water-full city resorting to water tankers? If Delhiites continue to rely on (often illegal) tube wells,, where will they turn when groundwater dries up in 2015? How could things be different? In this upbeat and slightly offbeat documentary film you will meet Dolly, who has to be resourceful for water; Deya, who says that even posh Delhi colonies don't get reliable water supply; and Maya, who is embarassed to go fetch the water she need for daily life. This film doesn't solve Delhi's "water crisis" but explores solutions like dams and sewage treatment plants. It discovers ideas in unexpected places and highlights people who are pursuing creative solutions. Meet people who are trying to rejuvenate Delhi's baolis (step wells) and lakes and school kids who are harvesting rain water. Attend a river clean up event with music and dancing. Listen up stories of struggle and satyagraha (non violent resistance). May be we don't need to wait for the "experts" to give us one big solution to the water crisis. May be Delhiites already have many solutions that could spread to quench Delhi's thirst!
