this looks so biblical has nothing changed
i went to damascus small parts were like this but my friends stayed in better accomadation and they were refugees

I think the point is the area is completely neglected by the nationalist Syrian Government because it is populated by Kurds, not Arabs.
They take the oil and gas found in these areas and return nothing but misery.
