As an Englishman, I congratulate the USA on having the better of the two. If the Eurofighter is a multirole fighter, why are we taking the F-35, or is that just the Royal Navy?

The Eurofighter is a great BFM (basic fighter maneuvering, aka dogfighting) machine. However, with many hands in the manufacturing pot, some things got screwed up. 1: HOTAS-- not intuitive and sometimes awkward required switch acutations (people couldn't agree). 2: They used a mechanically scanned array-- some countries wanted to save money. That is fine, but that puts the radar behind almost any AESA (MKK, Raptor, F-35). Finally, the integrated avionics on the Raptor it what puts it far ahead

Also the eurofighter can go vertial from take off also got a service hight of around 60,000ft.... The f-22 is a big pile of junk compaired the the typhoon LOL.

The usa will not let a eurofighter typhoon in their airspace because it completely fuckes over the raptor... I got my sources from someone in a eurofighter sqd!

Britain's Defence Evaluation and Research Agency did an operational evaluation comparing the Typhoon with some other modern fighters in how well they performed against an expected adversary aircraft, the Sukhoi Su-35. Various western aircraft were put in simulated combat.

Results:

Raptor may shoot down 10.1 Su-35's for every 1 lost, while a Typhoon does 4.5 Su-35's for every 1 lost. Raptor.
