A cut out animation I made for my Foundation Drawing I final at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Our assignment was simply to create a narrative (which leads to a discussion about what really constitutes a narrative and drawing).
I spent about 36 hours on it once I came up with the idea. Actually shooting it took only a little over seven hours. It was the researching and the editing that killed. This is not done, though, since I ran out of time. There are still some things I want to change.
This is about/against the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA). My targeted audience was teenagers and young adults of any religious or political beliefs. This law is too extreme, and I feel that anyone with common sense will realize how dangerous it is.
I used a lot of symbolism because my goal was simply to make people think. I want them to wonder what this is about and what the law is about. I want to inspire them to learn more and to make informed decisions.
