Well, it's almost Halloween again, so I thought this would be a perfect time to get some more Castlevania videos up. So next I thought I'd do what many regard as the greatest linear-based Castlevania game, the Japanese Rondo of Blood.
The American release, Castlevania Dracula X, is a very slimmed down version of this game. The Japanese release offered two playable characters, Richter Belmont and Maria Renard, while the American release only let you play as Richter. Also, the Japanese release had branching paths similar to Castlevania 3 and even had secret exits to go with them, while the American release was just one straight shot to Dracula. Not that the American version was bad, it just doesn't live up to the original Japanese version.
The elements described above put this game in my top 3 Castlevania games, along with 3 and 4. Of those 3, I can't really decide which one I like best. In fact, the series as a whole is one of my favorite game franchises of all time.
In this runthrough, I will be playing as Maria playing through the normal path to Dracula. I may include a secret path runthrough later, as well as a runthrough as Richter, so watch out for those.
yay no time paradox! :D

@ssjmg003 Yes, there's a few other girls you can rescue. However only Maria can be played.
