I run straights on my 5.0 and there is nothing as satisfying as seeing the horrified expressions Prius owners give me and its hilarious when ur sittin at an idle and a ricer pulls up to race and u give it some gas and they suddenly do anything they can to avoid a race they know they will lose!

@StevenBTT No there is still back pressure from the headers assuming they are stock. Back pressure needs to be below 3 psi to start decreasing performance. Even if he had the cat back taken off i guarantee you he would still have more than 3 psi of back pressure. Think about all the gases and exhaust coming out of 8 cylinders at 5850rpms. Not to mention the exhaust is hot. Hot gasses like to expand. And all of that coming out of a 2.5" dia. header exit. Thats not even including a mid or catback.

ya so i've read a few comments about what i said and i just want to say that i wasn't trying to imply that my car is fast JUST because it has straight pipes... yes, they do help open things up and stop the motor from being choked, but they arent gonna add much power unless you have a good intake and header setup first, and even then they are more for getting everyones attention than anything else. i will say though, when i put the straights on the car (which was purple btw) i got more respect!
