I was at trout farm "Ronnum" with our fish car. We had bought small rainbow trouts for our ponds at home on trout farm Hvilested; www.hvilested.dk
At "Ronnum" they only make/feed small rainbow trouts. Hatching them is done another place in one of the owners hatcheries.
The water is circulated / reused. They only take in a little new water. To do this they have to filter the water and are using pure oxygen.
"Ronnum" is made in a way so you dont have to do hard physical work as in the past. People working here do need to have some knowledge of modern aquaculture; to measure and control the oxygen in the water and more. When done the right way you can do an optimal feeding of the trout.
Stocking/feeding/breeding fish this way has to be optimal and controlled. Costs for electricity are high.
